Championship Game

The Knights played Thumbs Up for the Championship last night after a long weekend in Miami for a Round Robin, playing both Miami and FAU. The game started off with a little inconsistency from the Knights, but they soon got their heads in the game. Thumbs Up scored the first goal in the first half. The Knights' player Shannon Schaefer scored a beautiful goal right before the end of the first half, tying the game at 1-1 going into the second half. In the second half, Karen McDaniel, as goalie, made some magnificent saves, and the Knights defense made some great plays in the back to help her out. Evie Sirianni scored the next to goals for the Knights, making the Knights lead the game 3-1. Thumbs Up scored another goal with approximately twenty minutes of playing time left, and left the Knights to fight so there wound not be a tie. The Knights kept their cool and defended their goal, winning the championship 3-2. The Knights were also awarded for being first place in the season!
