Knights VS Surf: Quarter Finals

Last night, the Knight's took on Surf, and from the first minute of the game, one could see the teams fighting to move to the semi finals next week. Elise Larett of the Knight's put in a early goal, showing the ambition the team had to take the win. Unfortunately, within minutes Surf put in a goal as well. Surf was then awarded a penalty kick, which the amazing Ashley Taylor saved with grace. The Knight's moved in and out of the team Surf, and soon Evie Sirianni made a glorious pass to McKenzie Cloak across the net, who she put in swiftly. Again, soon after the Knight's were up 2-1, Surf got a goal soon after, and a few minutes after were awarded yet another penalty kick -- Ashley Taylor, again saved the tie! The second half brought even more of a battle between the two teams. Super Kat Schratt put in a wild, yet amazing goal bringing the Knight's in the lead. Again, Surf put in a goal and the teams were tied. This made it 3-3. Knowing the teams did not want to go into penalty kicks or over time, Karen McDaniel played an awesome game, and in the middle she did not give up, and scored! With only four minutes left in the game, the Knight's were constantly trying to defend Surf. Unfortunately, Surf was able to puncture through the Knight's defense, and tied the game in the last minute. The referee's alotted two minutes of stoppage time, which meant there was time for recovery. Within a minute, a throw in by Kimmy Westmoreland went right to the penalty spot in front of Surf's goal. Leanne Hill got her body on it and scored the winning goal. The Knight's defeated Surf 5-4, in an endless spree to victory, and off to the semi finals next week!
