Knights vs. White Lightning
Tonight, the Knights played White Lightning for a second time. The Knights had a few opportunities to score in the first half, and played well, but there were no goals for either team until the second half. Kat Schratt played an amazing game in the middle of the field, taking over for Erika Schaefer who is hurt. Kimmy Westmoreland played an exquisite pass through the defense, where Elise Larett ran to, and scored a very composed goal. The Knights were up 1-0 the entire game, until about three minutes of play were left. The White Lightning took a shot, which legitimately did not go in the goal, hit the side net, and because of holes in the net, appeared to be a goal. The sideline referee called it a goal, and there was much controversy over the issue, but in the end, the referees called it a goal, and the score was tied, 1-1 at the end of the game.
